Terms of use
Last updated 24 September 2026.
These terms apply when you use the Tailor Made website or app. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
What Tailor Made is
A marketplace. Tailors and fabric sellers list their work; customers order from them. The order is an agreement between the customer and the tailor. We run the platform, take payments on the tailor's behalf through Paystack, and help when something goes wrong, but we don't make the clothes.
Your account
- You must be 18 or over, and give your real name and a working email address.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- You can delete your account at any time; see how.
Ordering and paying
- Placing an order or sending a request costs nothing. The tailor confirms the work and the price first.
- Once the tailor has confirmed, you pay through Paystack. Work starts after payment. The price can't change after the tailor has accepted.
- Payment goes to the tailor's own account, less Tailor Made's commission on the price of the work: 5% when the customer came through the tailor's own link, and 12% otherwise. Delivery fees carry no commission. The customer pays the price quoted; the commission comes out of the tailor's side. Customers can only pay tailors we have verified.
- Cancellations and refunds follow our cancellation policy.
If you are a tailor or seller
- Describe your work, prices and turnaround honestly, and only post photos of work you made or have the right to use.
- Make what was agreed, to the measurements you were given, by the date you gave, or tell the customer early if you can't.
- You give us permission to show what you post on Tailor Made and in links shared from it, for as long as it is listed.
- You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn.
What you must not do
- Mislead or defraud anyone, or ask to be paid outside Tailor Made for an order placed on it.
- Harass anyone, or post anything unlawful, hateful or sexual.
- Collect other people's data, scrape the service, or try to break or overload it.
We can remove content, hold payments to a tailor, or suspend an account that breaks these terms. Where we can, we'll tell you why.
When things go wrong
Talk to the other person first, from the order page. If that doesn't work, email contact@techlyafrica.com with the order number and we'll help. Tailor Made is not responsible for the quality of work tailors do, but we will look into every complaint and act on accounts that don't keep to these terms. Nothing here takes away rights you have under Ghanaian consumer law.
Changes and law
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana.
